W drugim roku wymiany polsko-holenderskiej zorganizowano ankietę ewaluacyjną. Oto jej wyniki:

(W drugim roku wymiany polsko-holenderskiej zorganizowano ankietę ewaluacyjną, by

zbadać efektywność programu. Odpowiedzi udzielali zarówno uczniowie polscy, jak i

holenderscy. Oto jej wyniki).

1. Experiences after exchange:

? Using English in everyday situations

2. Did the exchange come up with your expectations?

? Yes, very much!

3. What I liked most:

? Visiting the Netherlands – a beautiful country

? Family and sporty lifestyle of Dutch people

? English speaking family – they always spoke English whenever I appeared

? Mentality of the Dutch – open, tolerant

? The whole group – we could get together in no time

? We turned out to be a very harmonious group – we tuned in very quickly

? The Netherlands – a better organized country than Poland

4. Any drawbacks?

? My host family spoke English very well, but they spoke too much Dutch at the same

time, I felt awkward at times, they commented my replies in Dutch

? Many hosts spoke Dutch too often even in the presence of their guests

? The way we did a sightseeing tour of Amsterdam – not clear maps

? Too little time in Amsterdam

? Our Dutch hosts spoke Dutch too often

? The trip to Polish mountains (horrible weather!)

? The evenings in Poland were better organized

? Our Dutch friends never organized a private evening party for the whole group – they

really liked it in Poland

? Sometimes the Dutch hosts were not interested in what we want to do

? I didn’t like that we didn’t visit Van Gogh Museum

? I didn’t like the attitude of two Polish girls towards the exchange

? Sometimes I felt I’m worse – they were too self-confident

? Towards the end of the programme there were two groups – Polish and Dutch …

? Nothing went wrong – I was smiling all the time!

? The dinner time

? Towards the end of the exchange the Dutch seemed bored, tired, indifferent

5. Any misunderstandings? Possible reasons?

? Some problems with Czechowice students – I guess we simply didn’t know each other

? I had a different partner in the Netherlands

? Little problems connected with living with a foreign family

? There were some misunderstandings – because of different culture and mentality and

characters

? Typical problems that occur among teenagers – nothing serious

? I didn’t like the fact that my Dutch host became indifferent to what I do or say, he

stopped to show interest at some point…

6. What did you like about the Dutch?

? open-minded

? party animals

? lively, energetic, eager, spontaneous

? Friendly, nice, talkative

? Great people!

? Pretty girls;)

? Their lifestyle

? Tolerance, respect

7. What could run better next time?

? The debate about Human Rights

? Preparation time for the debate about soft drugs

? Sightseeing Amsterdam

? Work harder on matching partners to avoid tension

? Too few boys in our group

? Make the stay in the Netherlands longer

? Free time

? We should meet Czechowice students earlier

8. What do you think about the program?

? Horrible weather in the mountauins in Poland

? Too many things to do in Holland

? More sightseeing in Holland

? I didn’t like social institutions visits

? I didn’t like Arabian night and 5-minutes acts

9. Did you change your opinion about the Netherlands and the Dutch?

? Yes, a lot - I’m more positive

? I broke certain stereotypes that The Dutch are mean, drug-addicted and too tolerant –

total stereotypes!

? Poland and Holland are totally different countries – we are far behind them…

? I’ve never had a bad opinion about the Dutch

? Girls are prettier

? Yes, I didn’t know they were so open and friendly

? I learned that Dutch students can act great without drugs or alcohol; it’s amazing that

everything is allowed there, but they know the limits…

10. What do you think was surprising for Dutch students?

? That we take off our shoes at home

? The attitude of Polish students to Polish teachers and parents

? That Polish teachers didn’t give English commands

? The behaviour of Polish drunk men at the disco

? Polish roads and dirt

? Evening parties

? Shopping malls in Poland – that there were some many of them

? They thought the differences would be much visible but it occurred we’re not that far

behind them

? Standard of living of Polish people

? Early hours of parties in pubs

? Parks and green areas

? The prices in shops

? The condition of the trains (terrible)

? That we can ride a bicycle

? Snow

? That we go to church every Sunday

11. What do you think your Dutch friend found most annoying?

? Too few boys in the exchange

? The fact that the Polish needed too much time for everything (especially in the

bathroom or to ride a bike)

? The fact that Polish people are generally unkind and unfriendly

? No cycling paths

? Too much food

12. What do you think they liked most?

? Kraków

? They claimed Poland is great for holidays

? Fiat 125p

? Evening parties

? Polish culture and traditions

? Free time

? Shopping

? Lower prices

? Mountains

? The fact that Polish hosts were so kind and friendly from the very beginning

13. How much do you think the Polish differ from The Dutch?

? They don’t pay so much attention to the appearance (which is good)

? more open, tolerant and spontaneous

? more friendly towards the older

? more courageous

? more straightforward

? better attitude to teachers and parents

? more egoistic and self-centered

? no taboo topics

? better at establishing relationships

? they don’t quarrel so often about unimportant things

? I think we are not so much different what Human Right workshops proved

14. How much did you benefit from the exchange?

? I improved my English.

? It’s easier for me to communicate in English.

? I learned how to play field hockey ;)

? I learned some Dutch word expressions ;)

? Now I look at the world from a different perspective.

? I tasted great Dutch cuisine.

? I have my own opinion about using soft drugs.

? I met great people.

? I got to know a new country.

? I made friends (for life I hope ;) )
