History of The Boleslaw Chrobry School in Pszczyna
The Boleslaw Chrobry I Comprehensive Secondary School in Pszczyna is one of the oldest schools in Poland. It goes back to the tradition of denominational Protestant school founded in 1742 by the Count of Erdmann von Promnitz.
Other significant dates in the school’s history comprise:
1867 – the foundation of lower classes of secondary school
1872 – all classes of secondary school were brought into being
1922 – the school was taken over by Polish authorities
1925 – the school was named for Boleslaw Chrobry
1938 – two comprehensive secondary classes were formed
Young artists attended this school in the interwar period, among others: Potocki, Sapieha, Poniatowski, Zamoyski.
Nowadays The Boleslaw Chrobry School may be proud of graduates who are carrying out numerous responsible functions, holding responsible positions, and being fulfilled in their duties carried out reliably.
